Coats for Kids Project

Coats for Kids Project provides warm coats to the street children of Kabul.

The kids are mostly orphans who are supporting their families. They are on the streets of Kabul selling candies, toys, or doing hard labor.

The project is primarily funded by YOU donors, and personal fund from myself. If you would like to sponsor a kid from the streets of Kabul for the Coats for Kids Project, please get in touch with Abid Amiri at abid_amiri@yahoo.com or call.

One full outfit consists of shalwar kamiz, sweater or coat, and shoes that costs about $40 for a kid.

Mujaheed

Mujaheed is a 14 year old boy from Guzar-gah, Kabul. His father, Ghulam Shah has lost one of his legs to a land mine during the Taliban regime. Mujaheed is the only breadwinner of his family. He sells bread, and often begs on the streets of Kabul. He makes about 100 AFN per day, which is equivalent of $2. He has four younger brothers and three sisters to feed. Mujaheed's mother is a housewife.
